      Initial Reports Indicate Multiple Victims; Suspect in Custody

      EL PASO, Texas – The Texas chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a part of Everytown for Gun Safety, released the following statement after reports of a shooting at Cielo Vista Mall in El Paso. Reports indicate multiple people were shot and wounded. Police have reported one suspect is in custody.

      “Our hearts are broken as we wait to learn more about this horrific tragedy,” said Melinda Luevanos, volunteer with the El Paso chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. “This is yet another reminder of the senseless gun violence that plagues our communities. Our hearts are with the victims and their families.”
