STATEMENT FROM JACKIE SHELLEY, VOLUNTEER LEADER WITH THE SOUTH CAROLINA CHAPTER OF MOMS DEMAND ACTION FOR GUN SENSE IN AMERICA:

“I am heartbroken to wake up to the news of yet another shooting in South Carolina. This time, the injured are members of our law enforcement community – people who have dedicated their lives to making our communities safe. Our thoughts are with their families and friends and we wish them a speedy recovery. As we pray for the injured, we’re reminded that we can and should do more to keep guns out of the hands of people with dangerous domestic violence histories.”
