JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Volunteers with the Missouri Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, part of Everytown for Gun Safety, testified before the General Laws Committee of Missouri House of Representatives on Monday and urged committee members to reject two dangerous gun bills being considered:
STATEMENT FROM BECKY MORGAN, VOLUNTEER CHAPTER LEADER WITH THE MISSOURI CHAPTER OF MOMS DEMAND ACTION FOR GUN SENSE IN AMERICA:
“As a volunteer, as someone who has lived in Missouri my entire life and as someone who has lost a loved one to gun violence, I don’t want anybody in Missouri to have to go through what my family went through. I worry for my safety – and for the safety of others. I urge lawmakers to consider the facts and use common sense and to reject efforts to further weaken Missouri’s gun laws.”
