ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a part of Everytown for Gun Safety, released the following statement in response to a shooting in St. Paul’s Payne-Phalen neighborhood early Friday morning that left three people dead and seriously wounded a fourth. Authorities are still investigating today’s shooting, but early reports suggest a domestic dispute may have been a factor. More information about the deadly relationship between domestic violence and gun violence is available here.

STATEMENT FROM MARIT BROCK, VOLUNTEER CHAPTER LEADER WITH THE MINNESOTA CHAPTER OF MOMS DEMAND ACTION FOR GUN SENSE IN AMERICA:

“I am heartbroken and outraged at the news that three people were killed and another seriously injured this morning in St. Paul by a senseless act of violence. Our thoughts are with the entire community, the loved ones and first responders affected by this shooting. While the details are still unfolding, we do know that too many families, here in St. Paul and across the country, have seen loved ones’ lives cut short by gun violence. We must do more to help reduce gun violence in America.”
