INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, part of Everytown for Gun Safety, today urged Gov. Eric Holcomb to veto House Bill 1284, which if enacted would:
“If signed by the governor, this would roll back public safety laws that are protecting Indiana schools and communities,” said Cathy Weinmann, volunteer with the Indiana chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. “At a time when more and more of us are asking lawmakers to do more to prevent gun violence, this would be a dramatic step in the opposite direction, weakening sensible state gun laws and creating serious new challenges for Indiana law enforcement. We urge the governor to exercise his veto authority.”
