Gun Safety Groups Announce Endorsement of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for Re-Election

Brady and Team ENOUGH, Community Justice Action Fund, Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund and Its Grassroots Networks Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action, and GIFFORDS Unveil Joint Endorsement of Strongest Gun Safety Administration Ahead of 2024 Election

WASHINGTON – Today, in a first-of-its-kind joint announcement, a coalition of gun safety groups announced their endorsement of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ reelection campaign. The groups part of today’s endorsement announcement include: Brady and Team ENOUGH, Community Justice Action Fund, Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund and its grassroots volunteer networks Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action, and GIFFORDS.

This is the first time the groups have jointly announced a presidential endorsement. The announcement comes amid peaks in gun violence in America, including the deadliest six months of mass killings in nearly two decades and new data showing an all-time high in gun suicide, especially among Black teens. Consistent polling shows that gun violence is increasingly a top issue for voters, especially young voters and Black and Latino voters. A FOX News poll showed large majorities of voters, including those in gun-owning households, favor common-sense gun safety measures, including expanded background checks and an assault weapons ban. Ahead of Election Day, each of the organizations have robust plans to educate and mobilize their broad coalition of tens of millions of advocates, parents, students, survivors, responsible gun owners, and others in the gun violence prevention movement and will be key to a Biden-Harris victory.
