While Details are Still Unfolding, Reports Indicate That Multiple People Were Shot and Killed and Multiple People Were Wounded

Jacksonville, Fla. – The Florida chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, part of Everytown for Gun Safety, released the following statement in response to the fatal shooting at a video game tournament at Jacksonville Landing. While details are still unfolding, reports indicate multiple people were shot and killed and multiple were wounded. Reports also indicate that one suspect is dead.

“I am heartbroken for all those affected by the tragic shooting at Jacksonville Landing today. Our hearts go out to the victims, survivors and their families as they begin to cope with this tragedy. This horrible news is a deadly reminder that we must do more to prevent gun violence in our communities.”
