Florida Moms Demand Action, Everytown Respond to Fatal Shooting of Sheriff’s Deputies
TRENTON, Fla. – The Florida chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, part of Everytown for Gun Safety, released the following statement in response to reports that two sheriff’s deputies were shot and killed at a restaurant in Trenton. The suspected shooter shot and killed himself at the scene.

“Our deepest sympathies go out to the families, friends and fellow law enforcement officers of the two deputies who were killed. Many lives will never be the same because of this senseless act. What happened today is another tragic reminder that gun violence is far too common and there is more our elected leaders can and must do to prevent it.”
