Everytown for Gun Safety Statement on Senate Vote Confirming Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court

10.6.2018

NEW YORK – Everytown for Gun Safety, the country’s largest gun violence prevention organization, released the following statement today as the U.S. Senate voted to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

STATEMENT FROM SARAH TRUMBLE, DIRECTOR OF FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE CAMPAIGNS FOR EVERYTOWN FOR GUN SAFETY:

“We are deeply troubled by Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court. When it comes to Second Amendment cases, we urge Judge Kavanaugh to consider the thousands of lives that have been saved by common-sense gun laws. The gun safety movement is now laser-focused on November 6th, when we will make good on our promise to elect gun-safety champions who are not beholden to the NRA.”
