NEW YORK – Everytown for Gun Safety, the country’s largest gun violence prevention organization, released the following statement from President John Feinblatt today upon the confirmation of Jeff Sessions as U.S. Attorney General.
STATEMENT FROM JOHN FEINBLATT, PRESIDENT OF EVERYTOWN FOR GUN SAFETY:
“During his confirmation hearings, Jeff Sessions said he would enforce the gun laws already on the books. Now we will find out if the new attorney general is a man of his word – and willing to call the NRA’s bluff, enforce the law and side with police and the public against the gun lobby.”
Feinblatt previously wrote an opinion piece in the New York Daily News on how the Attorney General can work to better enforce existing gun laws and prevent gun violence.
