NEW YORK — Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund today endorsed six Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America volunteers who are running for office in 2019.

“Moms Demand Action volunteers have a hard-earned reputation for doing whatever it takes to pass gun safety laws, so it’s no surprise that more and more of them are cutting out the middleman and running for office,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety. “Everytown is proud to endorse these Moms Demand Action volunteers, who are exactly what a growing majority of American voters are looking for: proven gun sense champions.”

“These Moms Demand Action volunteers are taking their dedication to gun violence prevention to the next level by running for elected office,” said Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. “After years of advocacy in their communities, they’ve learned what it takes to pass good public policy. I know the volunteers we’ve endorsed will work tirelessly to make their communities safer.”
Everytown today endorsed:

  • Meagan Matteson, Ohio, Bexley City Council
  • Rachel Friend, Colorado, Boulder City Council
  • Karla Psaros, Massachusetts, Braintree School Committee
  • Sabrina Shields-Cook, Iowa, Ames School Board Director At Large
