NEW YORK — Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund today endorsed four Moms Demand Action volunteer leaders who are running for office in Colorado, Illinois, Missouri, and Nebraska and have elections on April 6th.
Since 2017, hundreds of Moms Demand Action volunteer leaders have run for elected office and dozens have won seats – from town council and school board to U.S. Congress, including 43 who won in 2020. These endorsed candidates represent key gun violence prevention leaders.

“Moms Demand Action volunteers have already proven themselves to be among the most powerful voices in politics, and we couldn’t be more excited to see these volunteer leaders go from changing laws to making them,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety. “Everytown is proud to endorse these candidates, whose leadership in the gun violence prevention movement will help them hit the ground running after they’re elected.”

“Moms Demand Action volunteers are leaders in their communities who organize, advocate, and help affect change each and every day — which is why they make such effective lawmakers,” said Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action. “These volunteer leaders have already shown that they’ll do whatever it takes to keep our communities safe from gun violence, and I’m thrilled to see them take this step to continue that work as candidates and lawmakers.”

Everytown today endorsed:

  • Yeena Yoo, Illinois, Elmhurst Alderman, Ward 6
