A national memorial dedicated to the victims of gun violence (September 18, 2019 - January 5, 2020, in Chicago)
BackgroundEvery week, 700 Americans are shot and killed, and hundreds more are injured. To call attention to the magnitude of this epidemic, and honor the individual lives taken by gun violence, Everytown for Gun Safety has partnered with the MASS Design Group on The Gun Violence Memorial Project, a space of remembrance and healing for individuals impacted by gun violence. In commemorating the humanity of each victim, we can spark a national healing process and advocate for a future without gun violence. The exhibition, which features nearly 200 remembrance objects commemorating victims of gun violence, can be viewed through January 5, 2020 at the Chicago Cultural Center.
