Urban Zen And Everytown for Gun Safety Announce “Not One More” Bracelet to Support Growing Movement To Save American Lives From Gun Violence

2.11.2015

NEW YORK – Everytown for Gun Safety, Urban Zen and Lise Evans today announced the launch of the “NOT ONE MORE” bracelet initiative to support the growing movement of Americans coming together to pass common-sense public safety measures that will reduce gun violence and save lives.

The bracelet features the words “NOT ONE MORE”, a national rallying cry of the gun safety movement coined by Richard Martinez, the father of 20-year-old Christopher Ross Michaels-Martinez who was killed in the tragedy near the campus of UC Santa Barbara last May. Immediately after the tragedy, Richard Martinez stood up and demanded that “NOT ONE MORE” should die from senseless gun violence in this country. Proceeds from each bracelet will support Everytown for Gun Safety’s efforts to pass common-sense public safety measures that will reduce gun violence and save lives.

“The work of fixing America’s broken gun laws is not easy, but it is progressing,” said Michael R. Bloomberg. “Americans from all parts of the country and all political affiliations are demanding that their lawmakers take action, and more and more state legislators are listening. I want to thank Donna Karan, Lise Evans and everyone at Urban Zen for supporting this work and standing with us to say: ‘Not one more.'”

“Every problem has a solution and I believe the solution to our nation’s gun problem is to join all of our voices and talents together – from political leaders to gun violence survivors and the designers, musicians, actors, models, producers, directors and hoteliers who came together to launch the bracelet – and for each of us to use our influence to say loud and clear: NOT ONE MORE,” said designer and philanthropist Donna Karan.

The bracelets are available in two versions. The first, a collaboration of Urban Zen’s Haiti Artisan Project and Lise Evans, features a gold colored closure and retails for $30.00. Bracelets may be purchased at Urban Zen stores in New York City, Sag Harbor and Aspen as well as UrbanZen.com. Additionally, the bracelets will be sold at the DKNY store on Madison Avenue The second bracelet features a silver colored closure and is available for a minimum $25.00 donation to Everytown for Gun Safety at www.NotOneMore.com
